THE FIRST PRODUCTION SPEEDBACK GT HAS BEEN DELIVERED TO ITS OWNER

– Chassis #001 was delivered to the company’s first customer, who is based in Paris

– Finished in iconic ‘Guns and Roses’ exterior paint finish, with Scottish Cranberry interior leather and Walnut Crotch veneers, distinguishable by its feather-like pattern

– The delivery of the first car signifies the start of fulfilling the many orders placed for Speedback GT worldwide

COVENTRY, ENGLAND (18^th February 2016): Following successful launches in the UK, Europe, the USA and the Middle East, David Brown Automotive is proud to announce that the first Speedback GT has left our build facility in Coventry having been delivered to the company’s first customer.

The first production Speedback GT, better known as Chassis #001, is a left-hand-drive car, to which Paris is its new home. The car is finished in the iconic ‘Guns and Roses’ exterior paint finish, with 19-inch wire alloy wheels and chrome brightware.

The cabin features an array of British craftsmanship and materials, boasting a Scottish Cranberry interior leather and Walnut Crotch gloss veneers which are distinguishable by a beautiful feather-like pattern where the branch of a walnut tree meets the trunk. Chassis #001 also features David Brown Automotive’s signature rear fold-out picnic seat.

Since its launch, David Brown Automotive has worked tirelessly to refine and further improve Speedback GT, encapsulating over 237 engineering and design changes which include soft-close doors, improved brightware finishes, an enhanced taillight design and a  bespoke alloy wheel option to sit alongside the iconic 19-inch wire wheels.

Each customer of Speedback GT is able to follow the progress of their specific chassis through their own dedicated online portal which enables customers to keep up to date with the build of their car through updates and images throughout the build process. Naturally, customers can also visit the dedicated build facility in Coventry, UK, as often as they please.

This landmark event in the company’s history signifies the start of fulfilling the many orders that have been placed worldwide for Speedback GT.
